Weekly construction updates for the L Tower at 8 The Esplanade and the Backstage at 1 The Esplanade

Unfortunately there were some issues today with deliveries for both LTower and Backstage due to problems with the hoist (external elevator).
This caused some traffic delays in the area.

This is a new construction update for 1 The Esplanade – L Tower parking and Backstage condominium – for March 5, 2014.
Wednesday, March 5 – evening
Please note: Unfortunately, Link Line (Enbridge) has encountered challenges with the installation of gas lines to service the Backstage Condominium site. This will require work to continue till approximately 10:30 pm.
Vehicular traffic on The Esplanade from Yonge Street to the west entrance to the TPA parking lot until approximately 10:30 pm.

Please Note: The bulk excavating is schedule to get underway this week. Once it is in full operation, there will be high impact on traffic at Scott Street and The Esplanade due to a large number of dump trucks coming to and leaving the site. At this time there remains no firm schedule. This site will be updated as soon as this information becomes available.
