In order to allow the safe operation of Wednesday’s concrete pour at the L Tower, City of Toronto Transportation Services has issued a Temporary Street Occupation Permit for municipal address 25 Yonge Street. Permit #64161601.

Wednesday, July 6 – 10 am to 3:00 pm

This will involve the closure of the east sidewalk and the curb lane of Yonge Street, between The Esplanade and Front Street East.

Note: 3 paid duty officers will be on site to direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

July 4 – 8 Construction Outline

Monday, July 4 – 36M concrete pour not expected to go beyond 7:00 pm.

Tuesday, July 5 – UPDATED: There will be no concrete pour on Tuesday.

Wednesday, July 6 – A single lane Temporary Street Occupation application for Yonge Street has been re-submitted to the City of Toronto to facilitate a 200M+ concrete to pour utilizing a concrete pump. If City of Toronto Transportation Services deem this lane occupation to be necessary to ensure the safe operation of the planned 200M+ concrete pour, it will go forward and copies of the permit will be distributed adjacent businesses and residential buildings.

PLEASE NOTE: The July 6 concrete pour is now not expected to go past 7:00 pm.

Thursday, July 7 – 81M+ concrete pour not expected to go beyond 7:00 pm.

Friday, July 8 – 54M+ concrete pour not expected to go beyond 7:00 pm.

NOTE: There may be a steel pile delivery during the week but it has not been confirmed by the construction team.

June 27 – 30 – Temporary Street Occupation

This coming week —  Monday, June 27 through Thursday, June 30 the Dominus construction team will continue the installation of a self climbing form-work protection system and conduct related work on the L Tower, 8 The Esplanade.

Due to the amount and size of the materials that need to be hoisted over the roadway, construction management has again applied for and received a Temporary Street Occupation Permit from the City of Toronto, Transportation Services — Permit Number 53972402– to occupy the eastbound lane of The Esplanade between Yonge Street and Scott Street.

The time period covered by this permit is as follows:

  • Monday, June 27 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
  • Tuesday, June 28 from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
  • Wednesday, June 29 from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
  • Thursday, June 30 from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm

NOTE: One Paid Duty Officer is required for vehicular and pedestrian traffic control.

June 20 – June 24 – Temporary Street Occupation for Hoisting

Staring Monday June 20 through Friday June 24 construction team will be installing a self climbing form-work protection system to provide greater safety to our construction workers on site along with additional safety for pedestrians passing below.

Due to the amount of material, installation time and large materials needed to be hoisted over the roadway, a Temporary Street Occupation Permit has been received from the City of Toronto — Permit Number 53972401 — to occupy the eastbound lane of The Esplanade between Yonge Street and Scott Street.

The time period covered by this permit is as follows:

Monday, June 20, from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm

Tuesday, June 21 from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm

Wednesday, June 22 from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm

Thursday, June 23 from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm

Friday, June 24 from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
