Backstage Construction Schedule November 8 – 14

This is the current construction schedule for 1 The Esplanade – L Tower parking and Backstage condominium – for November 8 – 14, 2014.

Please note: there will be a road closure of The Esplanade from Yonge Street to Scott Street from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday, November 10 and Tuesday November 12. A copy of the ROAD CLOSURE PERMIT for November 10 – 11 is provided here: SBACKSTAGE 14110715270. Pedestrian access will be provided, as safety permits, on the north side The Esplanade adjacent the L Tower.

Saturday, November 8

• Subcontractor, Italform doing high elevation rescue training off the crane.

• Dominus construction crew doing housekeeping work on-site, from 9:00 am. 

• Electrical and plumbing subcontractors working in the building from 9:00 am.

Monday, November 10

• Rebar delivery from 7:00 am.

• ROAD CLOSURE OF THE ESPLANADE – 9:00 am – 7:00 pm to permit relocation of the hoardings and concrete barriers.
• Pedestrians will be permitted access to Yonge Street on the north side of The Esplanade adjacent to the L Tower.
• 2 Paid Duty Police Officers will be on site.

• 26^thFloor slab concrete pour #2, by subcontractor Italform, scheduled to begin at 10:30 am.

• An after-slab wall and column concrete pour (42 metres of concrete) to begin following the main slab pour.

• Concrete Finishing until to 10:30 pm.

Tuesday, November 11

• ROAD CLOSURE OF THE ESPLANADE – 9:00 am – 7:00 pm to permit relocation of the hoardings and concrete barriers.

Wednesday, November 12

• A wall and column concrete pour, by subcontractor Italform (45 metres of concrete), scheduled to run from 12:30 pm.

Thursday, November 13

• Rebar delivery from 7:00 am.

• 27^thFloor slab concrete pour #1, by subcontractor Italform, scheduled to begin at 10:30 am.

• An after-slab wall and column concrete pour (33 metres of concrete) to begin following the main slab pour.

• Concrete Finishing until to 10:30 pm.

, Friday, November 14

• 27^th Floor slab concrete pour #2, by subcontractor Italform, scheduled to begin at 10:30 am.

• An after-slab wall and column concrete pour (33 metres of concrete) to begin following the main slab pour.

• Concrete Finishing until to 10:30 pm.

 NOTES:

• A Paid Duty Police Officer is on-site daily Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm daily to assist with traffic control.
• Concrete pour schedules and times are subject to weather conditions.
• There may be some short-term impacts on traffic flow as concrete trucks are moved into position.
• Concrete trucks must keep their engines running during the pouring process.
