This is the current construction schedule for 1 The Esplanade – L Tower parking and Backstage condominium – for April 16 – 20, 2012

Monday, April 16

  • Subcontractor, Deep Foundation, will be installing tie backs and drilling piles and caissons.
    • There will be two (2) concrete trucks doing four rounds each (8 in total) in and out of the site.
  • Subcontractor, GFL Excavating will be removing material from the site: four (4) dump trucks will take 5 loads each, for a total of 20 loads.

Tuesday, April 17

  • Subcontractor, Deep Foundation, will be installing tie backs and drilling piles and caissons.
    • There will be two (2) concrete trucks doing four rounds each (8 in total) in and out of the site.
  • Subcontractor, GFL Excavating will be removing material from the site: four (4) dump trucks will take 5 loads each, for a total of 20 loads.

Wednesday, April 18

Monday, November 7

  • Sub-contractor GFL will be doing bulk excavating. There will be 15 trucks each doing 5 rounds of hauling, entering and exiting at the 1 The Esplanade gate, just west of Scott Street.

    • The trucks will enter from eastbound from Yonge Street, travel just west of the Esplanade gate toward Scott Street, then reverse  into the site to pick up the excavated bulk. The trucks will then pull out and exit east along The Esplanade.
    • There will be short-term impacts to vehicular and pedestrian traffic while the trucks are entering and departing the site.

  • Sub-contractor, Deep Foundation will be drilling caissons and piles.  There will be 10 loads of concrete accessing the site from The Esplanade.
  • GFL Excavating will be removing 16 loads of dirt.

Wednesday, September 7

  • There will be a 45M concrete pour starting at 1:00pm and it is not expected to go beyond 7:00pm.

  • Update: Deep Foundations has an 85 foot long load of steel piles being delivered under police escort at 1:00 pm. The load will come down The Esplanade.

  • There will be a 86M concrete pour starting at 1:00pm which not expected to go beyond 7:00pm.

  • Update: GFL Excavating will be on site removing drilling spoils. There will be 4 dump trucks doing 4 rounds each for a total of 16 loads.

  • There will be 10 loads of concrete delivered throughout the day
