Backstage Construction Update – July 2 – 8, 2016

This is a construction update for Backstage Condominium, 1 The Esplanade, July 2 – 8, 2016

The installation of the exterior finishes on the tower fins and podium is proceeding well. 

The installation of the mast climber on the east side of the tower is almost completed and the crew responsible for the installation of the substrate for the porcelain tile on the west side will be moving to the east side. A second crew will be added to carry on with installation of the porcelain tile on the west side.

There will be a mobilization of a Toro Aluminum crew on site next week to remove and replace the damaged frames and glass on the southeast corner on the podium caused by the January fire. This process will take a few weeks.

Suites though-out are being readied for inspections next week and the next phase of occupancies take place the week of July 11^th ( a total of 26).

Work is also being carried out in the main lobby to prepare for the installation of the mirror detail on the north side of the lobby.
