Backstage Construction Update – June 11 – 17, 2016

This is a construction update for Backstage Condominium, 1 The Esplanade, June 11 – 17, 2016

Interior work at Backstage remains slowed down by the ongoing drywall strike.  On the positive side other trades not affected by the strike are caught up with their work.

On the exterior the front elevation of the podium caulking has been in-progress this week at the limestone joints. As well, the porcelain tile has started and can be seen on the west elevation beside the lobby entrance off Yonge Street. Stucco work has begun on the exterior wall between Backstage and Green P.

Where possible, inside the building, construction crews are working on suites which were previously not sold and hoist suites on the east side of the tower, installing the kitchens and flooring where the main drywall work has already been completed.

Amenity area awaiting finishing and additional drywall (when the labour action is over).

Monday, June 13

• Cladding installation and exterior work.
• Some finishing work on unoccupied suites with completed drywall.

• Cladding installation and exterior work.
• Some finishing work on unoccupied suites with completed drywall.

Wednesday, June 15

• Cladding installation and exterior work.
• Some finishing work on unoccupied suites with completed drywall.

Thursday, June 16

• Cladding installation and exterior work.
• Some finishing work on unoccupied suites with completed drywall.
