Backstage Construction Update – February 6 – 12, 2016

This is the construction schedule for 1 The Esplanade, Backstage condominium – for February 6 – 12, 2016

Exterior work is focussed on the podium and the tower as cladding and glazing are being installed. Access to the building from Yonge Street will open soon, with the removal of material from the site and the addition of paved walkways. Access to the parking garage lobby will be opened from The Esplanade. Occasional deliveries occur as needed with minimal impact on the street or traffic flows. Work continues on the interior of the building readying suites for occupancy; in particular penthouse suites are still being finished prior to the installation of kitchens and appliances. The first move-ins to Backstage are expected this month.

Backstage future retail facade at The Esplanade and entrance to parking levels where scaffolding is shown to the right. The scaffolding will be removed and a paved walkway will be added.

• External generator adjacent Yonge and The Esplanade is scheduled to be removed.
