8 The Esplanade – L Tower Saturday, November 16 – 21, 2015.
The L Tower crane remains up in order to complete the final installation of the permanent maintenance platform. Currently we expect the crane to remain up into December. Lighting has now been installed in the canopy along Yonge and The Esplanade and temporary lighting has been added to the fence at the base of the crane.

Canopy lighting along The Esplanade

L Tower Canopy installation of lighting fixtures on November 11 along Yonge Street.
The L Tower construction management team is working with Toronto Hydro to move forward the installation of lamp standards on the north side The Esplanade between Scott Street and Yonge Street. The work is the responsibility of Toronto Hydro but efforts are being made to move the process along to ensure adequate lighting for pedestrians on this section of street. We will post new information here as it becomes available.
NOTE for L Tower Residents
We get enquires from L Tower residents about the progress of internal work in the building. While we are happy to direct these enquiries to the appropriate people, please note that the purpose of this site is to provide construction information to external neighbourhood stakeholders, particularly in the immediate St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood.
- We post construction information updates weekly on Fridays or more frequently, as information or activity warrants, to keep neighbourhood stakeholders informed, with a particular focus on the immediate St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood.
- We will post new information about the maintenance platform work and the eventual crane removal as it becomes available to us.
