Work at Backstage continues on the ground floor parking level interior drywall work, suite finishing and exterior glazing. As usual, regular deliveries of materials and supplies continue through the week.

L Tower October 31 – November 6, 2015

8 The Esplanade – L Tower Saturday, October 31 – November 6, 2015.

We take a final look at the private L Tower parking access tunnel prior to the completion of final floor covering. The tunnel provides L Tower residents with a safe and direct connection to the L Tower parking levels located under the Backstage condominium on the south side of The Esplanade.

Toronto Hydro will soon be installing lamp standards on the north side The Esplanade between Scott Street and Yonge Street. The locations of the new street lights are indicated by “boxes” located along the sidewalk as pictured below slightly behind the tree and the locked bicycle.

The L Tower crane remains is use through October, it’s removal is tentatively scheduled for November. We will provide precise information when it becomes available.

Backstage’s tower exterior is almost fully glazed, work continues to complete windows on the podium level. Work continues to finish the ground floor parking level. Drywall work, suite finishing and regular deliveries to the site continue through the week.

We take another look at a unique element of the L Tower is the underground parking which is located under the Backstage condominium on the south side of The Esplanade. The floor of the tunnel is being tiled before residents begin to use it.

This is the construction schedule for 1 The Esplanade, Backstage condominium – for October 17 – 23, 2015.

Two construction office trailers that are no longer in use will be removed on October 17 from the Yonge Street Railway Bridge. Backstage’s exterior is almost fully glazed, work will continue to complete it over the next few weeks. Soon exterior cladding will be applied to the podium. Work continues to finish the ground floor parking level, along with regular deliveries to the site.

One of the unique elements of the L Tower is the underground parking which is located under the Backstage condominium on the south side of The Esplanade. Today we had another peak into the private tunnel that will connect L Tower residents to their parking spaces. The floor of the tunnel still needs to be finished before residents may begin to use it.

Backstage’s podium exterior is being covered with an insulating membrane in preparation for the application of the exterior cladding. Work continues on the ground floor parking level, along with regular deliveries to the site. We also note that across the street on the north side of The Esplanade, Toronto Hydro will soon be installing new streetlights.

One of the unique elements of the L Tower is the underground parking which is located under the Backstage condominium on the south side of The Esplanade. Today we had a walk into the private tunnel that will connect L Tower residents to their parking spaces. The floor of the tunnel still needs to be finished before residents may begin to use it.

This is the construction schedule for 1 The Esplanade, Backstage condominium – for October 3 – 9, 2015.

Backstage’s 2nd floor parking level has been completed, unit drywall has been installed to the 3oth floor, kitchen cabinetry is in up to the 21st floor and kitchen appliances have been put in up to the 11th floor. This week work will be underway to prepare the ground floor parking area and entrance way for finishing.

L Tower October 3 – 9, 2015

8 The Esplanade – L Tower Saturday, October 3 – 9, 2015.

One of the unique elements of the L Tower is the underground parking which is located under the Backstage condominium on the south side of The Esplanade. The private tunnel that will connect L Tower residents to their parking spaces is getting closer to its opening date. The floors in the south or garage side tunnel lobby are seen here as they complete the drying process.

Construction elements remain at the base of the L Tower crane until the permanent window washing platform is installed at the top of the tower.
