During the crane removal work period May 26 – 28 the following impacts will occur:

  • Large tractor trailers may arrive as early 5:00 am due per Toronto Police Service restrictions on large loads travelling downtown during rush hour traffic.
  • Work may start early and continue late as may be required to ensure the safe take down of the Backstage tower crane. Large crane work is exempt from City of Toronto Construction Noise Hours. ** (see below).
  • When safety permits, every effort will be made to permit pedestrian access to Yonge Street. However it is prudent to plan on having to use Front Street East during some periods of the crane removal work.
  • Paid Duty Officers will be on-site during the work.
