Daytime Road Closure and Roadway Realignment

A daytime road closure is scheduled for Friday November 9, from 9:00 am to 8:30 pm. This has been discussed with and approved by City Councillor McConnell and reviewed with representatives of the neighbouring condos and businesses. The daytime road closure is to permit the installation of a new alignment of the vehicular and pedestrian routes between Yonge Street and the driveway into the Toronto Parking Authority garage, west of Scott Street. The roadway realignment will provide for a separated and protected pedestrian walkway and 1 eastbound vehicular lane. More detailed information will be provided next week. 

Monday, November 5

• Subcontractor, GFL Excavating will be breaking shale with hydraulic breaker from all day between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.

Tuesday, November 6

• Subcontractor, GFL Excavating will be breaking shale with hydraulic breaker from all day between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.

Wednesday, November 7

• Subcontractor, GFL Excavating will be breaking shale with hydraulic breaker from all day between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.

Thursday, November 8

• Subcontractor, GFL Excavating will be breaking shale with hydraulic breaker from all day between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.

Friday, November 9 – Road Closure 9:00 am to 8:30 pm

• Subcontractor, GFL Excavating will be breaking shale with hydraulic breaker from all day between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.
• Roadway realignment.

NOTES: 

* Dump truck frequencies are dependent on road and traffic conditions and the amount excavation materials at any given time on the site.

Construction activities are dependent on whether.

A Paid Duty Police Officer is on-site   daily Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm daily to assist with traffic control.
