REMINDER – Backstage Construction Update

Friday, September 28 – Daytime Road Closure of the Esplanade from Scott to Yonge – 7 am – 6 pm
- The Esplanade will be closed between 7 am and 6 pm for the mobile crane that will hoist steel lining sections into place. *
- Subcontractor C&M McNally will be continuing work to complete the stainless steel tunnel lining. *
- Subcontractor, GFL Excavating will be removing material from the site: four (6) dump trucks will take 14 loads each, for a total of eighty-four (84) loads. **
NOTES:
* The daytime road closure will be necessary to ensure public safety during the loading in, with a heavy crane of the stainless steel lining. Each lining section must be completed within the same day that it is delivered in order to ensure that it is properly installed and sealed.
** Dump truck frequencies are dependent on road and traffic conditions and the amount excavation materials at any given time on the site.
Construction activities are dependent on whether.
A Paid Duty Police Officer is on-site daily Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm daily to assist with traffic control.
