This is the updated construction schedule for 8 The Esplanade – L Tower –  February 5 – 8, 2013

Tuesday, February 5

• A beam concrete pour  level 61½, starting 1:00 pm, estimated at 9 cubic meters of
  concrete which is scheduled to finish prior to 7:00 pm.

Wednesday, February 6

• A rebar delivery scheduled to begin at 7:00 am.

Thursday, February 7

• A column concrete pour  levels 61 – 62, starting 1:00 pm, estimated at 9 cubic meters of
  concrete which is scheduled to finish prior to 7:00 pm.

Friday, February 8

• Nothing scheduled at this time – please check back for updates.

Please note:

• There may be some short-term disruptions to vehicular traffic while delivery trucks are moved into position and unloaded.

• Concrete trucks must continue to operate with their engines on while concrete is being poured.

• A Paid Duty Police Officer is on-site daily Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm daily to assist with traffic control.

L Tower Construction Schedule January 28 – February 1

This is the current construction schedule for 8 The Esplanade – L Tower – for January 28 – February 1, 2013

Monday, January 28

• A rebar (steel) delivery starting at 7:00 am.

• A 54M (cubic metre) slab concrete pour at level 61 1/2, starting at 11:30 am, which is expected to finish prior to 7:00 PM. 

Tuesday, January 29

• A delivery of windows between 7:00 am and Noon.. 

• A rebar (steel) delivery starting at 12:30 pm.

Wednesday, January 30

• General site work.  

Thursday, January 31

• Crane Accident. An unfortunate accident occurred this morning in high wind conditions. A crane smashed a glass window in the L Tower. Yonge Street was required to be closed until the glass was cleaned up. No one was hurt or injured. Steps are being taken to ensure this does not happen again. The construction management team regrets any inconvenience that may have been caused.  

Friday, February 1

• General site maintenance. The crane is broken down and this will hold up the schedule of work on the site.
