L Tower Crane Raising – March 17

On Saturday, March 17 the crane at the L Tower will be raised 6 metres (20 feet).

Preparations will begin starting at 9:00 am. It is expected the crane will be raised at approximately 11:00 am. Work should be completed by Noon. However, it is possible the work may take longer.

Monday, January 16

  • There will be a 90M concrete pour beginning at 12:00pm with the chance of extending beyond 7:00pm.

Tuesday, January 17

  • There will be a 90M concrete pour beginning at 12:00pm with the chance of extending beyond 7:00pm.

Wednesday, January 18

  • There will be a steel Delivery at 7:00 am.

Thursday, January 19

  • There will be a steel Delivery at 7:00 am.

Friday, January 20

  • There will be a steel Delivery at 7:00 am.
  • There will be a 180M concrete pour beginning at 10:00am which is not expected to extend beyond 7:00 pm.

Saturday, January 21

  • There is no site work scheduled for Saturday

NOTES:

A Paid Duty Police Officer is on-site daily Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm daily to assist with traffic control.

Construction Schedule – August 2 – 6

Tuesday, August 2

8 The Esplanade – L Tower 

  • There will be a 180M concrete pour which may go beyond 7:00 pm
  • Several deliveries to site are scheduled throughout the day. These should have little or no impact on traffic.

1 The Esplanade – L Tower Parking + Backstage 

  • Sub-contractor, Deep Foundation will be drilling caissons.
  • Concrete truck deliveries are scheduled throughout the day.

Wednesday, August 3

8 The Esplanade – L Tower 

  • There will be a 72M concrete pour which is not expected to beyond 7:00 pm
  • Several deliveries to site are scheduled throughout the day. These should have little or no impact on traffic.

1 The Esplanade – L Tower Parking + Backstage 

  • Sub-contractor, Deep Foundation will be drilling caissons.
  • Concrete truck deliveries are scheduled throughout the day.
  • There will be a large steel delivery: Deep Foundation, has scheduled an oversized delivery of steel piles 85 feet long. The load will come to The Esplanade gate.
    • Because it is an oversized load the truck delivering it will leave Deep Foundation’s yard at approximately 9:00 am under police escort and make its way to the site via Jarvis St, west across The Esplanade toward Yonge Street.
    • Unfortunately, during delivery there will be a significant impact on vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the vicinity of 1 The Esplanade. This is expected to occur between approximately 10 am and 11 am.

Thursday, August 4

  • There will be a 72M concrete pour which is not expected to beyond 7:00 pm
  • Several deliveries to site are scheduled throughout the day. These should have little or no impact on traffic.

  • Concrete truck deliveries are scheduled throughout the day.

Saturday, August 6

8 The Esplanade – L Tower 

  • There will be a Dominus labour crew in for housekeeping activities on the site between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm

 

NOTE: A Paid Duty Police Officer is on-site daily from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday; and this week  Tuesday through Friday.

June 27 – 30 – Temporary Street Occupation

This coming week –  Monday, June 27 through Thursday, June 30 the Dominus construction team will continue the installation of a self climbing form-work protection system and conduct related work on the L Tower, 8 The Esplanade.

Due to the amount and size of the materials that need to be hoisted over the roadway, construction management has again applied for and received a Temporary Street Occupation Permit from the City of Toronto, Transportation Services — Permit Number 53972402– to occupy the eastbound lane of The Esplanade between Yonge Street and Scott Street.

The time period covered by this permit is as follows:

  • Monday, June 27 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
  • Tuesday, June 28 from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
  • Wednesday, June 29 from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
  • Thursday, June 30 from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm

NOTE: One Paid Duty Officer is required for vehicular and pedestrian traffic control.
